The Great Indian Debacle

Defending champion India were knocked out of the Twenty20 World Cup title race after shameful defeat by the hands of an ordinary England in a cracking Super Eight match.

Chasing a modest victory target of 154, India's famed batting order failed when it mattered most and the defending champions could manage just 150 for five. Now who is responsible for this defeat, a captain who is having all the power of the world to do whatever he wants or Mr. Lalit Modi (as stated by the Indian coach) . Most of us would point finger on Mr. Modi but look at the teams like South africa and Sri Lanka who would rather thanks Mr. Modi which gave them the platform for tackling the pressure situations.

It is an tactical failure for Dhoni and Kirsten. Sending inexperienced Jadeja up the order is not only a tactical error but also a conceptual error. If Dhoni wanted to stabilised the inning he should have came at the place of Jadeja.Personally I believe, if you are having someone as devastating as Yuvraj Singh there is no point in sending any body at number four. We all know Yuvraj is a powerful batsmen at the sametime he is very skillfull.

Dhoni in an interview said that he an Yuvi can handle the run rate of 10 or 11...well Mr. Dhoni Yuvi is a class player and he can chase down any total on his own but I have some serious doubt on your batting capability specially with that technique.

Team India

watching current team India playing is reminded me of the ozz of the early 2000.
Why i am saying this let us compare head by head of both the taems-
Mathew Hayden=Gautam Gambhir
Adam Gilchrist=Virender Sehwag
Ricky Ponting=Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Andrew Symonds=Yuvraj Singh
Shane Warne=Harbhajan Singh
Glenn Mcgrath=Zahir Khan...and still we are having the likes of Raina, Rohit and Ishant in addition
to the team...
Look this team without Sachin Tendulkar and if we add sachin here one would find that this team is as devastating as the mighty australlians of 2000-o6
